One of the Midwest’s great guitar players, Mojo Perry will provide an evening of acoustic music for Door County fans in the DCA’s Fireside Coffeehouse Concert Series on Saturday, January 29, at 7 pm.

A Wisconsin native, the seasoned guitarist began learning and honing his craft at age five, performing in taverns by age nine, and recording his music at age sixteen. By his twenties, Mojo was a session guitarist, often found backing up big names on the local Chicago Blues circuit. His signature style was dubbed the “Northern Sound,” a blend of blues and psychedelic rock – the essence of what makes his music so unique.
After a few years, Mojo landed a gig in the festival circuit, giving his unique music exposure to countless more people throughout the country. He continues to record with his Wisconsin-based trio and perform nationwide for seasoned fans and fresh ears alike. Mojo has even bridged into an avante garde style of music with his ground-breaking techniques on the guitar. Many call him a revolutionary in the evolution of Blues – a 21st Century Blues Man.
Fireside Coffeehouse Concerts are held in the lobby of the Door Community Auditorium, 3926 Hwy 42, Fish Creek, in front of the fireplace. The Fireside Coffeehouse Concert Series is sponsored by The Cordon Family Foundation. Ecology Sports Base Camp provides refreshments for purchase. All concerts start at 7 pm.
