Door Property Owners, Inc. (DPO) encourages full and part time Door County residents to attend its annual meeting on Saturday September 15 held at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay.
This year, Chris Olsen, widely known for his work encouraging water recycling state-wide as a member of the Door County Sanitarian’s Department, will be addressing water quality issues affecting communities throughout our region, mitigation measures and efforts to help property owners practice safe disposal.
DPO will also be honoring four local people for their exemplary service and leadership:
- Coggin Heeringa (Crossroads),
- Steve Leonard (Ridges Sanctuary),
- George Pinney (Door County Parks and Recreation Department),
- Tim Stone (Door County Land Trust).
It is hoped that members of the Door community who appreciate their good works will help celebrate their environmental achievements. Coffee and treats will be served at 9:30 am with the meeting beginning at 10 am. Lunch will be served at noon and is open to all people attending. RSVPs to dpo@dcwis.com are appreciated, but not necessary. Crossroads at Big Creek is located opposite the YMCA on Michigan Street just east off Highway 42/57.
