The Rotary Clubs of Door County (Sturgeon Bay Noon and Northern Door Breakfast) are pleased to announce they are accepting nominations for the first annual Door County Ethics in Business Award.
Residents are encouraged to nominate businesses or individuals they believe to be leaders in ethical business practices by the November 1, 2011 deadline. The nomination form is available online.
In cooperation with the Business Department of NWTC, the clubs will facilitate the interview process for nominees who daily exemplify outstanding ethical behavior within their business and community. A separate award will be given for each category:
- For-profit business,
- Non-profit business, and
- Individual.
Based on Rotary’s 4-way test of truthfulness, fairness, good will, and mutual benefit, the interview areas will focus on: ethical treatment of individuals, community, environment; personal and company improvement; and business success.
The selection process will include an on-site interview in November. Semi-finalist announcement will be made in January 2012 and the award presentation dinner will take place on Thursday, February 23, 2012 7 pm at Stone Harbor Resort, Sturgeon Bay.
