Gloria Attoun returns to the Woodwalk Concert series on Friday, June 24 at 7 pm, having delighted audience a few years ago as part of the Wise Women concert.
Traveling from the little, river town of Augusta, Missouri, Gloria will perform solo, singing original songs about the magical and mundane moments of life. She brings with her a couple of guitars, a banjo, a harmonica or two and a whole bunch of other stuff that she has gathered up to make the evening enjoyable, unforgettable and fun. An evening with Gloria is not so much a performance, but an experience, as she blurs the boundaries of audience and performer to conjure up an evening of shared and memorable experiences. There is rumor of projected video and other secrets she won’t even reveal.
The Riverfront Cultural Society says, “Gloria captures the essence and connectedness of our common experiences. She pulls you in and, no matter what mood you were in when you arrived, she leaves you with the warmest evening of memorable entertainment. I don’t think I’ve ever smiled all the way through an entire concert.”
