The newly expanded Bargains Unlimited Resale Shop, owned and operated by SCAND Auxiliary, invites you to celebrate a Grand Re-Opening on Saturday, July 9.
The store has undergone months of renovations and upgrades in order to provide an optimum shopping experience for customers as well as improved work areas for the many volunteers who staff the store.
This Grand Re-Opening event marks more than 30 years since of the formation of the SCAND Auxiliary and 21 years of selling used clothing to raise money. The Grand Opening of the original Bargains Unlimited Store was held on Saturday, May 27, 1995. This Grand Re-opening showcases the recent renovations and will allow them to thank customers for their ongoing support. The day’s events will include:
- A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 pm,
- A video history and memorabilia presentation,
- Special prize drawings, and
- Refreshments
Alterations began last May with a ground-breaking ceremony, and include an expanded furniture section, a handicapped restroom, new dressing rooms and improved storage and sorting areas.
“The store has undergone substantial renovation in past years. However, no previous changes have been this transforming to the look and feel of Bargains,” explains Bonita Jackson, Store Manager. “Everyone is gratified that our customers and volunteers have had such a positive reaction to the changes and we are continually grateful to the community for their unwavering support.”
Bargains is known for high-quality furniture, clothing, shoes, accessories, household items and more, with all proceeds benefiting the residents and staff of Scandia Village Senior Living Community.
Bargains Unlimited Resale Shop is currently open Monday-Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm, and on Sundays, 11 am to 3 pm. The store is located at 10560 Applewood Drive in Sister Bay just off Highway 57.
Go Green and support your community by donating unsold items such as clothing, home décor and household furnishings. You can receive a full retail value tax deduction. They offer free pick up on larger items and quantities.
