National Trust for Historic Preservation Points to Door County’s Steel Bridge Songfest with a Cover Shot!

The National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP) helps save historic places that matter by providing leadership and information.

The NTHP Midwest Region covers eight states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin. Each year they publish an Annual Report and this year, the cover features a great photo from Door County’s Steel Bridge Songfest – a shout out saying, “This Place Matters!

America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places lists some treasures in the Midwest among the more than 200 one-of-a-kind historic sites recognized since they began the program in 1988. From urban districts to rural landscapes, Native American landmarks to 20th-century sports arenas, entire communities to single buildings, the list spotlights places across America that are threatened by neglect, insufficient funds, inappropriate development, or insensitive public policy.
