As part of its 10th Anniversary Season, Third Avenue Playhouse will hold its popular fundraiser, Starz Will Be Out! on Saturday, October 23, in the Egg Harbor Room of the beautiful Landmark Resort.
The fun begins at 5:30 pm with a hospitality hour and includes a sit-down dinner at 6:30, a cash bar, a large silent auction and high-energy entertainment by Milwaukee’s Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets beginning at 7:30 pm.
You’ll want to buckle up as the Four Guyz’ soaring vocals and incredible enthusiasm fuel a journey back to the days of dances at the gym and snuggling at the drive-in. In addition to hits from the 50s, the full-length show features a tribute to the Rat Pack, your favorites from the surfin’ 60s and a number of new songs like “At Last,” “Splish Splash,” “Fools Fall in Love” and “You Belong to Me.”
As always, comedy is a big part of the night. The show includes lots of laughs, novelty tunes and audience interaction, but music is the main attraction and the tight harmonies of the Four Guyz deliver, number after energetic number. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel calls it “. . .irresistible ear candy for Baby Boomers.”
“The Guyz are without a doubt one of the most popular touring acts we’ve ever featured at TAP, “ notes Judy Drew, TAP’s director, “so it just seemed natural to make them part of our 10th Anniversary celebration.”
A large silent auction features a wide array of goods and services from throughout Door County, including kayak tours, fine furniture, garden art, golf outings, home accessories, dining and entertainment certificates, knitting classes and resort stays.
“Our silent auction has something for everyone,” says Drew. “And what a perfect opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping.”
Ticket prices are $50 in advance, $55 at the door. A limited number of reserved tables for 10 are available for $600. Reserved tables enjoy ringside seating during the show. Tickets are available at the theater box office, 239 N. Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, 920.743.1760. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM – 3 PM.
