Starting at noon on Sunday, Sept 12, Sevastopol’s cable TV channel 986 will broadcast a full week of all-Door County shows.
“We have dug into our archives for the best – and maybe not so best! – shows from the past five years and our new video server allows us to put them all on the air, back to back, 24 hours a day and almost no repeats.” says Program Director, Laddie Chapman. “It’s more than 150 videos.”
The favorites will be in the 6 to 10 pm time slot. Much of this is music – from bluegrass to classical and back to bluegrass. Included are concerts from Fishstock, the Peg Egan Center, Martin Park, Woodwalk Gallery and many more local venues.
Chapman says, “One of our most-requested shows is an interview with John Brogan, who talks about Door County and Glidden Drive history. (A complete transcript of this interview is in the “Sevastopol Stories” book, available at the Door County library or for purchase at the Sevastopol Town Hall.) This show will play at 6 pm Friday, and possibly some other times.”
They will air five years of Jacksonport Polar Bears at 5:30 pm, with a different year every day.
Since their shows are not forced into a half-hour mold, the starting times will not always line up with hours or half-hours. Please see the schedule for exact times and shows at www.doorbell.net/video, or call the station director if you can’t find the one you are looking for.
“We hope you will enjoy all the variety Sevastopol TV has to offer” says Chapman. “Call me if you like something, or even if you don’t, I’d like to hear from you.”
