Join fellow Winter Festers in the first annual “Fish Creek Fruit Loop” on Sunday, February 7 at the crack of 10:10 am.
The scenic 1/2 mile run (yep that’s a 1/53rd marathon for you “hardcores”) begins and ends at the main tent. Costumes are encouraged, but not required and there is no charge for the event. A Fruit Loop feast is planned with awards, and prizes to follow. For more info contact Fish Creek info at 920.868.2316.
My Favorite sporting event takes place Saturday, February 6 on the Fish Creek Harbor ice. Starting at 9 am with a kid’s kite-making event at the Northern Door YMCA, the Kites Over the Bay fly-in takes to the ice on Fish Creek Harbor from 10 am to 4 pm. Continuing cold temperatures have created suitable conditions to “support” this event.
Despite the fact that we got an inch of fresh snow last night, the Candlelight Ski event is now officially transformed into a Candlelight Hike. Participants should go to Peninsula Park’s Highland Road warming house entrance at County A and State Hwy 42 between 5:30 and 8 pm to enjoy the outdoors after dark.
