Fellow artists join in a concert for recording engineer Billy Triplett in a Benefit Performance at the Hitching Post in Valmy.
“Maybe you go to shows, maybe you don’t – in either case, I would really appreciate your help right now!” says pat mAcdonald. “Whether you go to shows or not, you probably know some people who do. Pass this information on to anyone who you think might be interested and help me in a worthy cause by spreading the news of a great show!”
On Friday, December 4 at the Hitching Post in Valmy, lots of musicians including pat with melaniejane as Purgatory Hill, performed a benefit event for a good friend who suffered a recent heart attack. Billy Triplett is a recent Door County transplant and a brilliant recording engineer who has generously contributed his time and talent to the Steel Bridge Songfest and other local events and projects.
Organized by Rick Younglove, this benefit and tribute concert attracted the support and participation of many of Door County’s greatest talents. Here’s a chance to catch up with some notable globe-trotters and out-of-towners who are dropping in, like Early Thomas, Lantz Lazwell and other great surprise performers!
Please help spread the word. Those who attended experienced a very special night of music, good will and camaraderie. And you can still help!
“Thanks for for spreading the word!” says pat. “And, hopefully we’ll see you there!!!”
If you couldn’t make the benefit, donations may be sent directly to Billy Triplett at:
